The Lost Silhouette

Your shadow is taken to a world of stolen shadows! Guide it back to your realm before it becomes forever lost amongst corrupted and wandering silhouettes, disconnected from their realities. Players can manipulate the size and position of their digital shadow across a 2D surface through real life movement tracked with a Microsoft Kinect.

The Goal

A project themed around blending the digital with the real world. In two months, I was responsible for designing core mechanics, gameplay and levels along with playtesting. I also produced the trailer. It was an insightful lesson in embracing constraints to design challenges for the player’s shadow within the boundaries of a small 2D plane.
