Lenli

A single player 3D platformer where you play as Lenli; a small dragon on a quest to rekindle life and warmth in a dormant world fallen cold. Choose between bonding with a mysterious creature for assistance and company, or amplifying your abilities to resolve matters on your own.

The Goal

Our objective was to present the player with a dilemma: the trade-off between developing personal skill and affordances at the expense of being more lonely, versus friendship at the cost of reliance on others. Alongside helping design the game mechanics and gameplay, I was in charge of defining the narrative, listing required assets and implementing events and cutscenes in Unity and C#. I learned a lot about conveying dilemmas and creating ludonarrative cohesion. Plus, I had a lot of fun making the game’s trailer.
